Somewhere along the line of communication, this became an accepted incorrect measurement statement.

As to not rock the boat and confuse people I have used calories throughout my blog, but have the above-mentioned post explaining the difference between kcal and calories.

With that out the way, how many kcal in your average green apple? The number of kcal ( wrongly called calories) in 100 grams of green apple can vary slightly depending on the specific variety and ripeness of the apple.

However, on average, there are approximately 52-55 kcal in 100 grams of raw, unpeeled green apple. This kcal information is an estimation for green apples. For example, Granny Smith is a type of 'green apple'. Green apple is an overarching term for many varieties of apple.
